Skanderborg Ultraløb 12 hours is a Danish ultrarun held in Skanderborg, challenging participants to cover maximum distance within a 12-hour period. The course consists of a flat 1,000-meter road loop, featuring only 5 meters of elevation change per lap. A significant portion, 400 meters of each lap, is run on a dedicated track. The event is eligible for rankings but does not hold an IAU label.
The repetitive nature of the short loop allows spectators to easily follow the runners as they consistently return to the same points while accumulating distance throughout the day. October in Skanderborg typically offers cool weather, with average temperatures ranging from 6°C to 14°C and approximately 40 mm of rainfall. This marks the fourth edition of the race, indicating it is a developing ultra rather than a long-standing event.
