Esrum Sø Rundt is a late-August running event in North Zealand, Denmark, featuring a 27 km lap of Esrum Lake. The primary race, Kongeetapen, begins at Fredensborg Palace and includes 10 km, 5 km, and children's races. Approximately 3,000 participants attend annually, positioning it between a community fun run and a competitive tune-up race.
The 27 km route proceeds north along the eastern shore of the lake, circles its northern tip, enters Gribskov forest, and follows the western side towards Nødebo. From Nødebo, it utilizes the main road to Sørup before concluding through the Fredensborg Palace Garden and returning to the palace. This race has been held since 1972, serving as a final challenging preparation for many marathon runners before their autumn races.
