The Clásica Lagos de Covadonga Gran Fondo is a June road-cycling gran fondo starting in Cangas de Onís, Asturias. The long route covers 111 kilometers with 2,340 meters of climbing, making it a mountain stage rather than a flat sportive. Participants can also opt for the Medio Fondo, a 99-kilometer route offering the same Asturias scenery with less climbing.
The event, organized by Navastur Cycling Club with the Cangas de Onís Town Council, is in its thirty-fourth year. Entry is open to both federated and non-federated cyclists; a one-day insurance option is available for those without a federation license. Riders may register with or without a commemorative jersey, adding a club-event character to the timed challenge. One edition honors Fabio Aru, the Italian cyclist who won the Vuelta a España.
