Cross del Amanecer El Campello is a beach run in El Campello, Alicante, on Spain’s Costa Blanca, held each August on Muchavista beach. Its classic race is 7 km, and the organizers state it is Spain’s longest-running beach race. The event also includes a shorter 4 km option for beginners, suitable for runners who want the full shoreline route and for people trying a beach race without committing to the longer distance.
The 7 km course stays on the wet sand along the edge of Muchavista, starting at Rincón de la Zofra at the south end of the beach, running toward Tobago near the San Juan beach boundary, and returning to the start. Children have their own races on asphalt inside the Salesianos School grounds, with bib pickup and registration located at the Pinada de Salesianos El Campello. After the races, the day concludes with awards and prize draws, and the event provides aid stations, baggage check, participant insurance, medical services, and a bar-restaurant.
