The Marxa Popular Puja i Baixa is a non-competitive walk held in Begur, on the Costa Brava. It begins in the morning from Plaça Lluís Esteva i Cruañas. Participants can select either a 9 km or 14 km route, accommodating those seeking a shorter walk or a longer circuit through the municipality’s natural areas. The event welcomes participants of all ages, and includes a children’s race.
The course is designed to showcase Begur beyond the town center, with both distances emphasizing trails and scenery within the municipality rather than speed. This is the event’s 15th edition, and it has seen increased participation recently. Registration covers a commemorative T-shirt and breakfast, with a portion of each entry fee donated to the Girona Parkinson’s Association.
