Media Maratón Ciudad de Fuengirola

The Media Maratón Ciudad de Fuengirola is a half marathon held in Fuengirola, on Spain’s Costa del Sol, starting and finishing at the town fairgrounds. Organized by the Sports Department of Fuengirola City Council, this is the ninth edition and expects around 2,500 runners, similar to last year. It is a road race with a 2 hour 45 minute time limit, suitable for steady amateur runners and faster athletes competing for category places. The route remains within the town, utilizing Fuengirola’s main streets and avenues, and includes a section along the seafront promenade. The course features minimal elevation gain. Aid stations are provided at 5, 10, 13, 16, and 18 kilometers, with an additional station after the finish. Entry categories include junior, promise, senior, and veterans, with veteran groups divided by age. Disabled athletes may participate on foot or in wheelchairs. The top three men and women in each category will receive trophies, overall winners will get cash prizes, and all registered runners will receive a participant gift.
