Metropolitan Sky Run

Metropolitan Sky Run takes place inside the Hyatt Regency Barcelona Tower, a skyscraper located approximately 15 minutes from central Barcelona. Rather than roads or trails, participants ascend 569 stairs, covering 105 meters of elevation gain across 29 floors. It is a brief, intense effort focused on determining the fastest tower climber. The event is also a stop on the Towerrunning Tour, contributing to the international circuit and drawing athletes who specialize in stair racing alongside those seeking a distinct challenge. The course begins at the tower's base and concludes in the dome at the summit. This finish provides participants with a 360-degree panorama of Barcelona and its environs, a unique reward for a race conducted almost entirely indoors. The format is straightforward yet demanding: no street pacing, no extended flat stretches, only stairs from start to finish. Prize money is designated for the top three male and female finishers, introducing a competitive element to an event centered on raw speed and climbing ability.
