San SilvesTrail Monroyo is a late-December mountain race in Monroyo, serving as a way to close the year on local trails. The event is still young, with only a few editions held, and it offers two straightforward options: a competitive 6K and a non-competitive 3K. The 6K ascends nearly 200 meters and uses official categories, with trophies for the top three in each and youth runners from U14, U16, and U18 eligible for the longer route. The 3K ascends just over 70 meters and is intended for beginners, families, hikers, and those who wish to participate without intense competition. Costumes are a feature of the day on both routes, with a judged Best Costume award alongside the racing prizes, and younger school categories have their own separate races.
