Travesía de Montaña Escorial-Navacerrada 2026

The Travesía de Montaña Escorial-Navacerrada is a May mountain race held in the Sierra de Guadarrama. It is organized by GRUSEG, the Security Group of Spain’s Air and Space Army Headquarters Group. This event is a non-profit solidarity endeavor, not a commercial trail race. It begins early in the morning and is structured as a long mountain crossing between the El Escorial and Navacerrada regions. The course crosses San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Guadarrama, Los Molinos, Cercedilla, Navacerrada, and La Granja de San Ildefonso. The race was established to foster sacrifice and self-improvement, while also serving a practical military and civic purpose by uniting Armed Forces units, the Civil Guard, public administrations, and civilian participants. For GRUSEG and the broader ACGEA, organizing the event is also a significant logistical undertaking, with environmental stewardship integrated into its objectives.
