Travessa nedant al Port is a short open-water swim in Mataró’s port, part of the city’s Festa Major and its Santes Esportives program. It offers two straightforward, accessible race distances: 500 meters and 1,000 meters, suitable for younger swimmers and adults seeking a brief sea swim over a long-distance event.
The 1,000-meter race begins at Pequín beach, with youth and open categories. The 500-meter race starts from Moll de Contradic in the Port of Mataró, featuring categories for alevins, infants, masters, and veterans. With over thirty editions completed, the event is a local summer tradition linked to the city’s harbor and festival schedule.
