Triathlon Méditerranée Valence takes place over a weekend in June at Platja Malva-rosa in València, with races held around the city’s marina and waterfront. It serves as the València round of the Mediterránea Triatlón circuit, which also includes stops in Alicante and Castellón, attracting over 4,000 participants across the three cities. The València event offers athletes multiple race distances: an Olympic triathlon (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run), alongside Sprint and Supersprint distances for shorter competitions.
The Olympic distance is considered the longest-standing format on the València program. The weekend also features a Sprint Duathlon on Saturday and triathlon races on Sunday. Participants can compete individually or as a two-person team, broadening the event's appeal beyond solo triathletes. The swim and bike courses present technical challenges suitable for experienced multisport athletes, while the shorter distances provide a more accessible option for newcomers within the same waterfront environment. The Federació de Triatló de la Comunitat Valenciana organizes the event, which is also designated as a Gay Games Edition.
