The UltraEbre Swim Marathon is a 30.83 km open-water swim on the Ebro River in Tarragona, Catalonia. The race begins near Tivenys and concludes in Amposta. This long-distance river event significantly exceeds the standard 10 km marathon-swim distance. It typically takes place in early July, coinciding with favorable river flow, water temperature, and local weather conditions for an extended period in the water.
The course traces the Ebro River between the Tivenys and Amposta piers, with Xerta and Tortosa also connected to the race's path. Kayak support is provided for each swimmer from Xerta onwards. Participants can register as a solo swimmer with a dedicated kayaker or as a pair sharing a single kayaker. The event also supports a charitable cause and presents the Tragamilles trophy, sculpted by Jordi Cervera.
