The Repovesi Trail is a trail running event held in Repovesi National Park, located in the Kouvola and Mäntyharju region northeast of Helsinki. The race navigates rugged national-park terrain, featuring clearly marked routes, aid stations on course, and options designed for runners seeking a challenging run over a flat road race.
The park defines the event's atmosphere: pine and birch forests, lakes, streams, the River Koukunjoki, and rocky areas like Olhavanvuori, a site also popular with climbers. Repovesi's history of intensive commercial forestry means the race now crosses land with a distinct natural recovery. Participants might pass near features such as Kuutinlahti bay with its restored timber rafting channels. Access around Lapinsalmi can involve the suspension bridge or the small, hand-operated Ketunlossi ferry when the bridge is unavailable. Race results and photographs will be published post-event, and organizers are considering the addition of new race distances.
