L’Aiffricaine Course is a local road race in Aiffres, Deux-Sèvres, western France. It starts at 9:30 a.m. from Salle Tartalin on Rue de l’Église. Runners can select between two short distances: 5.2 km or 10 km. This makes the event accessible for club runners, casual runners, and those seeking a manageable Sunday race over a long-distance challenge.
The race is organized by ESAFP and is open to licensed and non-licensed runners. Nearly 500 participants entered the two races, despite larger events in La Rochelle occurring the same weekend. Xavier Armand from Saivres won the 5.2 km race by a small margin. UAC Brioux runners Landry Léau and Marina Roux won the men’s and women’s 10 km, respectively. The organizers maintain a straightforward setup, with online entry, bib pickup at Sport 2000 Niort, and encouragement to carpool and avoid littering on public roads.
