Courir POUR ELLES 10 km is a solidarity run and walk held near Lyon. Recent editions have taken place in Parc de Miribel-Jonage and Bron. The event provides 5 km and 10 km options, accommodating both runners and walkers. Parc de Miribel-Jonage offers a spacious outdoor environment of approximately 2,200 hectares just outside Lyon, featuring water and parkland along the in-person routes. A connected option allows participants to complete their distance anywhere in France.
The series focuses on supporting women’s health and hospital care, rather than solely on race times. Courir POUR ELLES aims to assist patients in hospital settings through activities like gymnastics, walking, and active support to help rebuild confidence post-treatment. The event has utilized various local parks throughout its history, including Croix-Laval, Parilly, Miribel-Jonage, and Bron. A notable tradition is the Vague Rose, a wave exclusively for women, though some formats welcome men to allow families and friends to participate. The association Elles Bougent supports the event and has provided complimentary 10 km bibs via its regional network.
