Course Algernon 2026

Course Algernon is a race and walk in Marseille, taking place on the second weekend of October. It begins at the Palais du Pharo and concludes at the Plages du Prado. Approximately 7,300 individuals participate, with both able-bodied and disabled participants sharing the same event. The schedule features a 5 km walk for those aged 9 and older, a 5 km run for those 14 and older, and a 10 km run for those 16 and older, all starting together at 10:00. The course travels from Pharo towards the Prado beaches, following the Corniche. This directs the race from Marseille's old harbor area towards the city's southern coastline. A sports and cultural association organizes the event. Its most notable characteristic is its inclusive field: runners, walkers, groups, minors, adults, and people with disabilities all participate together on the same October morning. The number of entries is substantial for a local race, with about 8,000 bibs offered for this edition.
