About
The GravelMan Series Côte d'Azur takes riders to the French Riviera, offering a choice between road or gravel, and a short day trip or a very long self-supported journey. Ten route options are available, with road and gravel courses around 60 km, 120 km, 200 km, 350 km, and just under 500 km. The event takes place in autumn, with organizers focusing on late-season sunshine instead of a cold, end-of-season challenge. Participation is limited to 100 riders per day across all events.
The longer routes begin Friday morning. The nearly 500 km route has a 55-hour time limit, and the 350 km route allows 48 hours. The 200 km, 120 km, and 60 km routes start Saturday morning, with time limits of 20, 18, and 10 hours, respectively. The course covers the Côte d'Azur's blend of coast, mountain passes, scenic overlooks, and inland roads. The series emphasizes full rider autonomy over a fully supported event. Shorter formats suit beginners, while experienced cyclists can tackle the longer distances where pacing, navigation, climbing, and sleep management are as critical as speed.
