La Sorlinoise is a 9.9 km street race in old St Sorlin, part of La Roche Vineuse in Saone-et-Loire. Runners start and finish on Rue des Loisirs, the location of the relay handover. The village setup includes music and a refreshment stand. It is a short local race, not a long-distance challenge, but the repeated loop and 156 meters of climbing give it more difficulty than a flat town run.
The course is a 3.3 km loop run three times through the old streets. Solo runners complete the full distance with an American-style finish. Pairs can enter the relay and run the final lap together. The event includes youth, senior, and masters age categories, requires a PPS or FFA license, and allows group entries for three or more people in the individual race. Parking is available at the village entrance, fitting the compact, village-race atmosphere.
