La Trifouillette Blanche is a winter night trail race in Igny, situated near the woods of Igny and Vauhallan. Runners begin at dusk, requiring headlamps from the outset. Two hilly courses are available: a 10 km with approximately 320 metres of elevation gain and a 20 km with about 500 metres. The distances are short enough for a local feel, yet steep enough to challenge trail runners.
The race commences with a steep 9% climb for the initial 650 metres. Organisers provide a pre-race cardio warm-up to prepare participants for this opening ascent. The course winds through wooded paths, and participants must be self-sufficient. The start and finish area offers a village atmosphere, distinct from a large urban race setting. A mountain-style refreshment stop awaits at the finish. This event is the winter counterpart to the Trifouillette run held in September.
