The Trail de Nébian takes place in Nébian, a village in France’s Occitanie region, held annually in late November. This trail running event offers four primary distances: the 3.2 km SlipRace, the 8 km Nébianaise, the 13.5 km Miquelet, and the 100 km Ultra Trail de Nébian (UTNB). An 8 km walk is also available, ensuring the day caters to participants beyond those competing for times. The shorter races provide accessibility, while the UTNB introduces a significant ultra-distance challenge.
The courses traverse natural, forest, and mountain landscapes surrounding Nébian. The 8 km race involves approximately 300 metres of elevation gain, the Miquelet around 560 metres, and the 100 km UTNB accumulates about 4,400 metres of ascent. This elevation makes the long race a genuine mountain-ultra undertaking, distinct from a flat endurance event. Results are categorized by solo, relay, and specific race formats, including UTNB Solo, UTNB relay, Miquelets, Nébianaise, and SlipRace. The event embraces a distinctive local character, highlighted by the "SlipRace" and challenge combinations linking shorter races, and receives coverage from regional media like France 3 and Midi Libre.
