Bromyard Round The Downs

Bromyard Round the Downs is a multi-terrain race held at Bromyard Rugby Club in Bromyard, Herefordshire. The main adult race is now a 10K, taking place in June. It is primarily off-road, offering a trail-and-track course rather than a typical road 10K. A 2km Junior Fun Run is available for children aged 4 and up, held on flat off-road terrain near the rugby club. This junior event features DBS-checked marshals and does not use chip timing. The 10K course begins and ends at the rugby club. It ascends to Bromyard Downs, with the halfway point at Warren Farm where a water station is provided. The return route follows Burying Lane. Participants should anticipate uneven terrain and one road crossing with marshals directing runners but unable to halt traffic. The race has historical results spanning several editions, employs chip timing for the main event, and seems to have evolved from an earlier Round the Downs race that was just over 4.5 miles.
