Roman Rampage

Roman Rampage is a Colchester race utilizing Friday Woods, with each lap covering 3.3 miles. Participants select one, two, or three laps, and can complete them either running or via the TAB option, which requires boots and a 35lb pack. The format originates from Paratrooper fitness assessments for deployment readiness, making the event resemble military conditioning more than a typical trail race. The course crosses varied terrain within Friday Woods, positioning the lap itself as the primary challenge over a point-to-point route. Adults can compete in run or TAB categories for each distance. Younger participants, aged 10 to 15, have a distinct PARAS' 2 junior race. The event supports fundraising through JustGiving, and club affiliation is noted on a participant list.
