The Dromos Thysias Distomou is a road race held in Distomo, Boeotia. It features an 11.2 km main event, a 1.1 km children’s race, and a 500 m race for individuals with disabilities. Participation is free, organized by the Municipality of Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra. The race is incorporated into local commemorations of the Distomo massacre by German occupation troops.
The main race begins at Karakolithos, a site linked to the memory of Nazi atrocities, and concludes at Distomo’s National Resistance Square. Participants receive timed results, water stations at intervals later in the course, medical support including a doctor and ambulance, and complimentary transport from central Distomo to the start and towards the finish area.
