The Balatoni Kék tourist route forms the backbone of this mountain run and performance hike, winding through the hills between lakeside villages and the viewpoints overlooking them. The Balatoni Kilátók hegyifutó verseny és teljesítménytúra serves as a solid test for the early season, featuring forest roads, narrow trails, and sufficient climbing to establish a steady effort rather than a flat-road pace. Starting from the Balatonfüred side, the course traverses Csopak and Alsórs before concluding at the Pannónia Cultural Centre. The shorter option begins near Csopak, by Plul Mill, and proceeds through Lovas and Alsórs. Participants must "conquer several steep climbs" and visit "numerous lookouts," with the course marked by orange plastic tape. The competition is divided into men's and women's categories, ranging from younger age groups up to 60+, reflecting the typical trail-race blend of competitive runners and consistent mountain hikers.
