Granfondo del Montefeltro is a road-bike gran fondo held in Gubbio, starting and finishing in the Umbrian town. It takes place in October, featuring two route options: a 138 km route with 2,095 meters of elevation gain, or an 80 km mediofondo with 1,440 meters of elevation gain. This event is in its second edition, with its inaugural running attracting approximately 700 participants and sports clubs from Italy.
The course crosses Umbria and Marche, passing through Gubbio, Pietralunga, Acqualagna, Cagli, Cantiano, and Scheggia e Pascelupo. It follows the Truffle Routes in the Umbria-Marche Apennines, with Acqualagna contributing a significant truffle connection. Key climbs include Nogna, Valico Pantani, Valico di Scheggia, and Madonna della Cima, indicating a challenging, hilly gran fondo. The race is part of the Circuito Prestigio and Granfondo Marche circuits, contributing to the diverse field of local riders, club groups, and seasoned gran fondo participants.
