IRONMAN 70.3 Emilia Romagna is a half-distance triathlon held in Cervia, Italy. Cervia is a beach town in Emilia-Romagna, located on the Adriatic coast. The race covers 70.3 miles: a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km road bike leg, and a 21.1 km road run. It is part of the IRONMAN 70.3 circuit and is designated as a Bronze-tier race with a 20,000 USD prize purse.
The course offers athletes a blend of sea, city streets, and nearby natural areas, differing from a remote point-to-point course. The event attracts age-group triathletes, relay teams, and professional racers. Recent men's results show the winner finished in 3:43:57, completing the bike leg in under two hours and the half-marathon in 1:14:36.
