Natuurloop Zonnebeke

Natuurloop Zonnebeke is a nature run held in late December in Zonnebeke, Belgium, for runners seeking an off-road conclusion to the year. It is a recreational event, not a timed race, with a free start allowing participants to begin at their own pace. The primary distances range from 10 km to 45 km, primarily on unpaved paths through local woods, fields, and parkland. The routes connect the castle domain, the Polygone, Reutelbos, the clay pits, and the Gasthuisbossen, utilizing both well-known trails and lesser-known paths. Certain sections traverse private property opened specifically for the event, offering the longer routes an element of discovery beyond a typical trail circuit. Aid stations are positioned along the course, the first 2,500 registered participants receive a gift, and younger participants can join a guided Kidsrun of approximately 3 km within the castle domain.
