Oostvaardersrun

The Oostvaardersrun is a small trail run in Lelystad, held near the Oostvaardersplassen with a cap of 350 runners. Adults can choose 10 km, 16 km, or a half marathon, while children have 1 km and 2.5 km races. The event is recreational and open to runners from age 5, focusing on local participation over large-field racing. The routes are mostly half-paved or unpaved and go through nature on the edge of Lelystad. The 10 km, 16 km, and 21.1 km courses partly run through Hollandse Hout, and GPX files are published so runners can check the route beforehand. Changing rooms, first aid, and course refreshments are provided, and late registration is allowed if places are still available.
