Singelloop Utrecht, established in October, holds the distinction of being the Netherlands' oldest street run. It draws thousands of participants for road races ranging from short youth distances (1 km, 2 km) to longer city courses (5 km, 10 km, and a half marathon). The 1 km and 2 km youth races are offered without charge, and the 5 km and 10 km events include options for Business Run entries.
The course navigates the Utrechtse Singels and Wilhelminapark, with the start and finish situated near Jaarbeursplein and Moreelsepark, adjacent to Utrecht Central Station. The 10 km route is officially measured and promoted as the world's fastest 10 km course, referencing a past performance of 26:44. The event utilizes BibTag timing, and participants can support the Ren tegen Kanker (Run against Cancer) charity initiative.
