Vlietloop Voorschoten is a road race held annually in September in Voorschoten, South Holland, starting on the Voorstraat. Participants can choose between a kidsrun and adult races of 5 km, 10 km, and 10 English miles (approximately 16.1 km). The 5 km race begins separately from the 10 km and 10 English mile races, and the kidsrun starts later, accommodating both families and regular runners.
The shorter races are contained within the village, while the longer routes follow paved roads, partly alongside the Vliet and Korte Vliet. The course has been updated, retaining sections of the previous route. This offers returning runners a sense of familiarity while allowing the race to evolve. It serves as the traditional season opener for running events in the region during September, attracting local runners, returning participants, newcomers, and children to a unified village event.
