Frogn på langs

Frogn på langs is a community trail event in Norway where about 150 people walk, jog, or run different stages between Ramme Gård in Vestby and Stupinn on the border of Frogn and Nesodden. It is structured as a public health day on local paths rather than a race for elite runners, with participants selecting distances suited to them. The route follows the trail network from Vestby in the south toward Nesodden in the north, through Frognmarka. Volunteers spend many hours marking the course, and the signs include local history and information about the forest. Frognmarkas venner prepares the trails, while Frogn Idretts- og aktivitetsråd usually starts from Follo Museum. The event provides simple support: sports drink and bananas in a suitable quantity, plus sufficient personnel on course to ensure everyone gets through safely.
