Grue Halvmaraton is a half marathon in Grue, Norway, promoted as the country's fastest half-marathon course. The event also features Gruemila, a 10K race, with separate men's and women's categories for both distances. It is designed for runners aiming for a specific time: pace setters are available for various finish goals, six aid stations provide water and energy drink, and the half marathon has a 2:30 time limit.
The finish area is located at Grue Barne- og Ungdomsskole, where participants collect bibs and board shuttle buses to the start. Both the half marathon and Gruemila are World Athletics-approved, meaning results can be officially recognized internationally. The rules are stringent, as is typical for serious road races: no outside pacing, no support cyclists or runners, no refreshments or equipment outside designated stations, visible chest bibs, and shoes limited to a 40 mm stack height with no more than one stiff plate. All finishers are awarded a medal.
