NTNUI TriSprinten is a beginner-friendly sprint triathlon organized by NTNUI Triatlon around mid-September. It is open to non-students and students alike, for participants born in 2008 or earlier. This event offers first-timers a low-pressure opportunity to engage in swimming, cycling, and running within a single competition, while also serving experienced triathletes as a late-season race.
The race course is identical to that of the Student Championship, adhering to the same rules for both events. Teams can participate in a relay, with individuals specializing in swimming, cycling, or running. NTNUI Triatlon has managed TriSprinten since autumn 2015, and paratriathlon has been included since autumn 2019. The organizing club is part of NTNUI, Norway's largest sports association, boasting over 14,000 members and offering more than 60 sports and activities.
