Łódzkie Biegi Górskie is a winter cross-country running series in Łódź, Poland, utilizing the city’s forest trails instead of road courses. One mid-season event features a 6.6 km race, and another provides 6.6 km, 10.5 km, and 14.4 km distances, allowing participants to select from a short, intense trail run to a longer forest course.
The races begin in the Łódź forests, with the final event taking place in Las Łagiewnicki, an extensive wooded area within the city. Many cross-country runners use the series for winter training between November and March; one 6.6 km race saw 284 participants, with Grzegorz Petrusiewicz finishing first in the men’s competition at 24:26 and Małgorzata Bednarek winning the women’s race in 28:38.
