UltraMaraton Bieszczadzki is a mountain running event held in Cisna, within Poland’s Bieszczady Mountains. It is part of the larger Bieg Rzeźnika festival, organized by Fundacja Bieg Rzeźnika. The event offers participants multiple race distances: the primary options are 100 km, 52 km, 26 km, and 12 km. Additional listings also present 14 km and 26 km formats.
The 26 km race presents a genuine mountain challenge. It tracks runners from the start, through a halfway point around 13 km, to the finish. Results are categorized by gender and age groups. In a previous year, the 26 km race had 303 starters with only one dropout, indicating its popularity among a broad range of runners, not solely elites. The Bieg Rzeźnika series also features a virtual event and the Rzeźnicka Triada, a three-part competition spanning three seasons, awarding a unique medal to those who complete all events.
