XI Noc STO-nogi is a night running event held in the park of the Museum in Stawisko, marking a symbolic close to the running season. Participants navigate the autumn darkness using headlamps, as the route offers limited lighting, requiring each runner to carry their own light source. The event's format is straightforward: the course remains open for three hours, with one completed loop constituting a valid result. The individual completing the most loops within this timeframe is declared the winner.
The course is a mixed-surface lap approximately 1.7 to 2 km in length, allowing runners to set their own pace. Options include racing intensely, stopping after a single loop, or continuing to circle for the entire duration. Children, casual runners, and those aiming for extended distances share the course simultaneously. Non-running STO-nogi supporters contribute by counting laps as volunteer judges. The event fosters a local atmosphere, with participants able to pause at a bonfire, warm up, and have hot food before resuming. Entry fees are allocated to cover essential expenses like medals, venue rental, water, sausage, candles, warning tape, and toilet facilities.
