The Corvus Trail Branco Gaspar is a trail running event held in Abrantes, within Portugal’s Santarém district. Its routes utilize paths and tracks throughout the municipality. Typically taking place in March, the event offers participants three primary distances: a long trail around 32 to 34 km, a short trail of approximately 17 to 18 km, and a mini trail covering about 12 to 13 km. The day also features Trail Kids, junior races, and a walking option, catering to a range of participants beyond just experienced trail runners.
The longer route involves over 1,100 m of elevation gain. The middle and shorter courses also provide sufficient climbing to qualify as genuine off-road challenges, not simply flat runs. COA Clube de Orientação e Aventura organizes the event, supported by local partners such as the rural development school in Abrantes, the Mouriscas parish council, and Associação Cultural das Rotas de Mouriscas. The event holds certifications from Portugal’s trail running association, is recognized by ITRA, is included in the UTMB Index, and contributes points to the Circuito de Trail do Ribatejo.
