III Duatlo Cross de Salir

III Duatlo Cross de Salir is an October cross duathlon in the parish of Salir, in Loulé, Portugal. It mixes running with mountain biking in the Algarve barrocal, the inland limestone countryside between the coast and the hills. The event sits inside the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Championship and includes three races across the series. The main race is a sprint-distance Duatlo Cross de Salir and counts as a stage of the Absolute Championship of Algarve and Baixo Alentejo. There is also a sprint relay for teams of two or three athletes, which makes the day workable for people who want to split the run-bike-run effort. The start, finish, and aid stations are based at the Junta de Freguesia de Salir, with the Associação Cultural de Salir organizing alongside the local parish council, Loulé municipality, and the Portuguese Triathlon Federation.
