Sabrosa Trail por Terras de Magalhães

Sabrosa Trail por Terras de Magalhães is a trail-running event held in November in Sabrosa, located in Portugal’s Vila Real district. The start and finish lines are at Parque B.B. King, adjacent to the Fernão Magalhães Permanent Exhibition. Participants can choose from multiple distances: a walking route of approximately 10-11 km, a 19 km trail, and a longer trail around 30 km. The course crosses trails, rural paths, and dirt roads within the Sabrosa municipality, offering a countryside trail experience rather than a road race. This event is ATRP-certified and organized by CM Sabrosa with PORTUGALNTN. GPX files for the routes are available. Participants can also incorporate visits to local attractions like the Ferreira de Castro House-Museum, the nearby Douro Valley vineyards, Pinhão, and Alvão Natural Park.
