Innovationsstafetten is a team relay race held in northeast Lund, within the Brunnshög and Ideon innovation district, during the autumn. Each segment is approximately 5 km, and teams consist of two to four runners competing in women's, men's, or mixed categories. If a team has fewer than four members, individuals will run multiple segments, with the team determining the running order.
The start, finish, and relay exchange point are all located in Nobelparken. The 5 km course proceeds north towards ESS, crosses Kunskapsparken, and loops back to the park for the handover or conclusion. The relay shares its event day with Innovationsloppet, the children's Nobelloppet, and Brunnshögskalaset, attracting workplace teams, students, families, and local participants, not exclusively club athletes. IFK Lund Friidrott and Ideon Science Park jointly organize the event, with Medicon Village also serving as a collaborator.
