On the last Sunday of October, Yddingeloppet takes runners into Bokskogen at Torup, near Malmö. Organized annually by Heleneholms IF, it is one of Skåne’s largest cross-country races, with its start and finish at Torups Friluftsgård. Participants can select a 12 km or 5 km distance, accommodating both competitive racers and recreational runners seeking a shorter autumn forest run.
The course crosses forest terrain. Late-October weather typically presents a true cross-country challenge with damp ground, mud, and rain, although some years offer dry sections. Yddingeloppet originated in 1966, formerly known as Yddingen runt. It is integrated into the regional racing calendar, counting towards Skånes Veterancup and serving as the concluding event for Skånes Grand Prix long-distance series.
