The Banskobystrický maratón is an evening road-running event in Banská Bystrica, the city below Urpín in central Slovakia. It is the largest recurring sporting event in central Slovakia, with certified courses for the marathon, half marathon, and 10 km.
The program offers several race options: the full 42 km marathon, a 21 km half marathon, a 10 km race, a 5 km STEFE run for active runners and families, and a 3x7 km relay. Starts are staggered from early evening into the night, with the marathon beginning first and the half marathon and relay starting later.
