The Westbrook Strong 5K is held in memory of Matthew Rairdon. The scholarship fund helps others pursue a nursing education at St. Joseph's College, awarding two scholarships annually. For younger runners, Matt's Mile is a fun run for children age 10 and under, split into heats for 1-5 year olds and 6-10 year olds. Dogs are welcome on the course, and Westbrook Strong Dog Bandanas are available for sale. This year, the charitable gift recipient is Safe Voices, supporting victims of domestic violence and sex trafficking and exploitation. A water station is on the course route and an awards ceremony is in the park after. The Rairdon Family appreciates 13 years of support for the Westbrook Strong 5K.
