23rd Annual This Run's For Jack 2026

This Run's For Jack is an October 5K at Ackerman Park in Glen Ellyn, starting at 8 AM with the goal of raising awareness about melanoma. Participants can run in person or virtually; the event also features walk, ride, and golf activities. All participants receive a long-sleeve UPF 50 shirt, suitable for the cause. The in-person course is paved and accessible, and strollers may be used if they start behind the runners. Pets, bikes, and roller-blades are not permitted in the race. The day's activities include dermatologist skin screenings, a hospitality tent for those affected by melanoma, post-race food and drinks, overall and age-group awards, and a Tri-Athlete medal and shirt for participants completing three events. Now in its 23rd year, it functions as a community health event centered around a race.
