B.I.R.R. Turkey Trot 5K 2026

The B.I.R.R. Turkey Trot 5K is a free Thanksgiving fun run at Bay Front Park in Hilo, Hawaii, starting precisely at 7:30 a.m. Big Island Road Runners organizes this annual charity event, utilizing the established 5K course with a modified start and finish location. Runners are encouraged to embody the spirit of Thanksgiving by bringing donations for the Hilo Food Bank, with monetary contributions accepted. Sealed canned and boxed food items will also be collected on race day for the Malia Puka O Kalani food pantry. KTA will provide ten $20 gift certificates to the first ten individuals donating $50 or more. Participants should arrive early for bib pickup prior to the run.
