Bernard Greene Memorial 5K

The Bernard Greene Memorial 5K takes place at Deep Run Park, with runners beginning at 9:30 a.m. on an October morning. Registration costs $40 per person and includes a T-shirt. This race directly supports Henrico’s recovery-court community, distinguishing it from a typical park run. All proceeds benefit alumni and current participants of the Henrico Circuit Court Recovery Court, Henrico General District Court Veterans Treatment Court, and the Henrico Behavioral Health Docket. Funds are allocated to sober activities, graduation celebrations, family days, and other recovery-focused programming. The race commemorates Bernard L. Greene, Jr., who initially joined the former drug court team as a clinician and subsequently served as its administrator until his passing.
