Dia de los Muertos 5k Run / 1mi Walk - SISD x Aetna Health Expo 2026

The Dia de los Muertos 5K Run / 1 Mile Walk starts and finishes at Gill Memorial Park, with the 5K course utilizing the Hetch Hetchy Trail. The event commences at 9 a.m., with participant check-in available from 8 a.m. for swag bag pickup. All participants must begin by 9:30 a.m. This is a run-walk-roll event, designed to accommodate more than just competitive runners. The route is accessible, utilizing city sidewalks or streets, and the event proceeds regardless of weather. Registration provides a medal, T-shirt, and race swag bag. Separate pricing is available for adults and youth, and a waiver must be signed by an adult for participants aged 17 and under. Following the 5K, a wellness fair will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, featuring health resources and activities connected to the SISD x Aetna expo. The Dia de los Muertos theme is present through Mariachi music, Bay Area Aztec dance performances, sugar skull face painting, and children's crafts, contributing to a community gathering atmosphere.
