The East Bay Running Festival is a Rhode Island road-race series featuring certified courses and a post-race food festival. In Warren, runners can select a USATF-certified 5K or 10K starting at Pete Sepe Pavilion, alongside a 1-mile walk on the East Bay Bike Path and children's obstacle races. The East Bay Half Marathon portion of the series begins at Pierce Memorial Stadium in East Providence, offering a half marathon, a 6-miler, and a 5K. The half marathon is chip-timed, certified, and has a four-hour time limit.
The Warren 5K and 10K routes extend towards Touisett Point, utilizing the bike path and local roads that pass farms and stone walls. The half marathon route follows Lyons Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway before returning on the East Bay Bike Path. The 10K is described as flat and fast; the half marathon, 5K, and 10K include some hills, with downhill or flat final miles. Families are integral to the event, with student discounts, family pricing, affordable kids' races, and a walking option. Net proceeds benefit the Bristol Warren Education Foundation. Runners conclude their races near food vendors, live music, and a beer garden where bib coupons can be redeemed for food and a drink.
