Fried Chicken Festival 5K Run | Walk

The Fried Chicken Festival 5K Run | Walk begins on Lakeshore Drive, near the National Fried Chicken Festival entrance, on a Saturday morning. The primary event is a 5K for runners and walkers. A student-only 5K option and a 1-mile kids’ fun run for children 12 and under are scheduled for later in the morning. The day is structured around the festival as well as the run. A 5K ticket provides festival admission, all-day re-entry, a race shirt, and a post-race party featuring food, snacks, beer, other drinks, and entertainment. Competitive runners, casual walkers, families, school groups, and costume-friendly participants are welcome. Groups of five or more receive a per-person discount when registering together in a single transaction.
