Gingerbread Lane is a holiday race in Little Rock offering options for children, walkers, casual runners, and those seeking a timed result. The primary events are a chip-timed 5K (3.11 miles) and a chip-timed 10K (6.22 miles), both featuring awards and age-group prizes. Additionally, there is an untimed 1-mile run, a 50-meter Kids Dash for ages 10 and under, a 6.22-mile virtual run, and a limited Volunteer then Run 5K for the first 20 registrants.
The course navigates local parks and greenbelts, with surfaces potentially including pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations are provided along the route, and participants receive shirts and medals based on their chosen event. The race embraces its holiday theme through a costume contest, music by DJ Sasquatch, and post-finish cookies and milk, presenting itself as a festive community event rather than a basic timed run.
